A lonely man lives inside a cuckoo clock. Every hour he straps himself into his ejection seat and shoots through the doors of the clock. “Cuckoo!” He yells, “Cuckoo!” His work is of vital importance. La Grande Quercia è stato girato in un piano sequenza di 15 minuti con un drone e oltre cinquanta collaboratori locali. Le scene si susseguono come se fossero i ricordi dell’albero centenario. A partire dal tardo Rinascimento fino al giorno d’oggi, si evoca la storia dell’Emilia-Romagna attraverso il lavoro e il canto, dalla vendemmia, alle guerre mondiali, e alla crisi ecologica attuale. La musica strumentale è fatta di frequenze elettromagnetiche emesse dalla pianta stessa.
The Great Oak was shot in a 15-minute sequence plan with a drone and over fifty local collaborators. The scenes follow one another as if they were memories of the hundred-year-old tree. From the late Renaissance to the present day, the local history of Emilia Romagna is evoked through work and song, from the grape harvest to the world wars and the current ecological crisis. The instrumental music is made up of electromagnetic frequencies emitted by the plant itself.

Padre d’amore è un cortometraggio di found footage. La protagonista rilegge la storia della sua adolescenza attraverso un VHS girato da un amico di famiglia. Siamo nel 1991: l’atmosfera di disimpegno politico e sociale culmina dopo la caduta del muro di Berlino. La provincia veneta appare ferita dagli arresti politici e dal dilagare della tossicodipendenza. Siamo di fronte ad una bambina di 10 anni con la passione per il tennis e un amore smodato per Andre Agassi e suo padre è un operaio trentenne, idealista ed eroinomane. Sullo sfondo Schio, cittadina operaia in provincia di Vicenza. La piccola e industriosa città, che vede nascere e crescere grandi aziende tessili come la Lanerossi, negli anni ‘80 viene letteralmente sommersa dall’eroina, assistendo con indifferenza e paura all’annichilimento della generazione venti-trentenne dell’epoca. Padre d’amore is a found footage short film. The protagonist re-reads the story of her adolescence through a VHS filmed by a family friend. It is 1991: the atmosphere of political and social disengagement culminates after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The Veneto province appears wounded by political arrests and the spread of drug addiction. We are dealing with a 10-year-old girl with a passion for tennis and an inordinate love for Andre Agassi, and her father is a 30-year-old worker, idealist and heroin addict. In the background is Schio, a working-class town in the province of Vicenza. The small and industrious town, which saw the birth and growth of large textile companies such as Lanerossi, was literally submerged by heroin in the 1980s, witnessing with indifference and fear the annihilation of the 20-30-year-old generation of the time.
