Before Artificial Intelligence was seen as a threat, cinema for more than a hundred years drew heavily from the imaginary world of robots, androids and computers, sometimes as an enemy, sometimes as an ally. With critic Roberto Manassero we will see how some great directors have used these ‘non-human characters’ to tell their stories.
